Back in town, we just hung out on the plaza.
Behind the fountain, the Day of the Dead exhibits were roped off with crime scene tape to keep people out.
Or was this another Mexican joke?
Humid, sleepy, French Veracruz has a little bit of the Nawlihns (New Orleans) feel to it.
The marimba players were getting warmed up in front of the cafes.
The cafes under the arches were filling up.
That evening, as always, there was dancing in the plaza.
Folklorico performers dance with candles on their heads.
